My Guiding Light

So it's come to this, a moment in which the darkness overtakes and you find yourself full of pain.

Yet even as this weight takes it place you hold out strong and pretend you're fine even though you're soon to break.

Yet as I'm here to help, you deny yourself this simple out, figuring you'll last along the lane you take, not realizing it's true strain.

More fatigued, more fractured you soon become, little sleep, more anxieties to deal with, leaving you wishing for a chance to escape this hate and to hopefully awake.

Come the sun, then moon, then another two, it comes too soon, your castle of glass falls shattered and smashed with pieces scatter too far to catch.

Distance is what's needed you think, so away from us all is where you choose to go.

Far away you dash, you speak not a word nor make yourself apparent, after all this time you elude us all and make yourself completely detached.

You think us full of spite, you think us cold hearted, and you think we don't care but it is here where I simply declare... no.

I have cared, I offered you my assistants and you threw it away treating it as trash.

This time I don't say ok, this time I am not afraid, for you are my friend and I hate to see you is such pain and torment.

Heed my words and listen well, this is nothing that will hurt nor anything simple to thrash.

I've known you since we were kids, I've seen you grow, I've seen you love and I've seen you cry and I know you so well that here is what I present.

I will not force you or drag you along, but I know you wish to restart and this is something I can provide.

No need to feel your pain, no need to go insane, just simply take eye upon this light I bring.

Take it with you as you journey back to times where we can smile and that where we can laugh, it shall be your guide as you take your ride.

Let it show you the way through the dark, let it take you home to where you belong, back to the place where you have zing.

This is my guiding light, my beacon of hope and my lantern to shine.

I beg you now, use it now, and let you come back to the place where our world was properly aligned.

For I miss my old friend and wish for him to take this trip back into the warming light which shall forever shine through our lives.
